'We Care' Employee Volunteer Program

At Capital City Savings "We're more than a bank".  We are committed to investing time, energy and money to contribute to the quality of life in the communities where we live, work and do business.  We reinvest in the community through donations, fundraising, partnerships, sponsorships and gifts-in-kind.

Employee volunteerism also makes an important positive impact in the community.  To recognize employee volunteers and give them more voice in our community investment efforts, Capital City Savings has established the We Care Employee Volunteer Program.

What is the We Care Program?

The "We Care" Program gives employee volunteers the opportunity to apply for a $100 donation from Capital City Savings to a qualifying not-for-profit organization of their choice.

Who is Eligible?

  • All full- and part-time employees who have worked for six months or longer at Capital City Savings.
  • Employees must volunteer 30 hours or more in the community during the Capital City Savings fiscal year.
  • Only one application per year per employee.

What Kinds of Volunteer Activities Qualify?

Any service or support to a not-for-profit community organization that improves the quality of life in our community can qualify, such as:

  • Serving on boards, committees, etc. (either as a Chair or active member)
  • Coaching, leading or supervising groups (ie: Cub Scout Leader)
  • Support roles at community/organization events (ie: festival volunteer)
  • Fundraising (ie: working bingo's/casinos, selling tickets, organizing events)
  • Providing a service to an agency (ie: serving lunch in the school lunch program)

Volunteering must be conducted during employees' free time.  Volunteering during paid work hours does not qualify.

What Organizations Qualify to Receive a Donation?

Employees can direct the $100 donation to any not-for-profit organization that has a registered charitable number and fits our corporate community investment guidelines.

Organizations who receive donations will be asked to provide Capital City Savings with a receipt.
