The Capital City Savings Kids Foundation was established in 1996 to raise and distribute funds for the purpose of improving the quality of life for children. Since then it has distributed over $300,000 to community programs that enrich children’s quality of life. Those initiatives include school breakfast programs, reading/literacy programs and social organizations such as Robinhood Association, Camp HeHoHa, Fort McMurray Children’s Centre, Kids in the Hall and KARA.
The Capital City Savings Kids Foundation supports the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through its annual Radiothon by providing volunteers and also donates part of the proceeds from the sales of stuffed animals, clothing and sunbursts from its annual in-branch fundraising campaign to both the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Kids With Cancer Society.
Applications for funding are encouraged and donations to the Foundation are gratefully accepted.
